NHS: Hawaii Pocket Manga Vol # 2!
Katie - 09/15/2006

The second volume of the Ninja High School Hawaii pocket manga is on the way!

I just sent the final revisions to the publisher this weekend, and I've been told that the book should be on the shelves in October. So bug your local bookstore to order it for you!

If you didn't get a chance to pick up a copy of volume one at any of the cons we were at this season, you can order it directly from Antarctic Press.

Updates! Updates! Updates!
Jodon - 01/22/2007

It is quite unfair, I must admit, that you all have been left to wander in the dark concerning the state of affairs here at Aesir Corp. Beeing a fan of webcomics myself, I know that you can feel forgotten and frustrated when they fall into the state Aesir Corp has. Let me start off this update by assuring you that you are not forgotten. I am pretty sure there isn't a week that goes by were Katie and I don't think, "No updates, again." So, all that said, let me show you the secret handshake and tell you all our dark secrets.

A Big Day
I am happy to announce that a couple months ago I proposed to Katie and she said yes. Our thanks in advance for any forthcoming congratulations. That being said, the often hurculean task of planning such an event had been tricky and often at times time consuming. That date is rapidly approaching and after it is through I imagine that we will have some more time on our hands.

Wigs! Wigs! Wigs!
As some of you many know, Katie has a little wig thing she does on the side. =P

In all seriousness, she is down to one apprentice and has a workload enough for 5 or 6 people. Not to play favorites, but lets be honest. While Katie and I love working on this comic and its story, people have paid for her services and they do take a priority. She is a machine though and is making progress. Again, once this is out of the way a lot more time for Aesir Corp.

Conventions
If you would like to come see Katie and I, and sternly shake your finger at in person we will be at the following conventions:

Anizona 3 - April 5-8 2007 - Mesa Convention Center
Sac Anime - July 14 & 15 2007 - Red Lion Inn

NHS Pocket Manga V.III
Katie just submitted the cover and revisions for volume three of the NHS pocket manga. As we have mentioned, while you don't 'need' to read NHS to know what is going on in Aesir Corp, many of the characters and events you see here do reference the events in our webmanga. Keep an eye out for it at your local shops or order it directly from Antarctic Press.

So... the 'celestial news article' idea went right out the window. For two reasons:

  • 1.) There is a fine like between mocking and just being plain mean. I was afraid I might cross that line.
  • 2.) Coming up with ideas was not easy, and after I outlined some others... they just weren't that funny.
I received a PM recently that asked, "If you have lots of free time, why don't you draw?"

There is an excellent answer to that...

My Dad is an artist, and a great one. I, however, did not fair so well when it came to inherriting said talents. It's funny actually... when we go to conventions, people expect that I am the artist at the table because I am a guy. (Don't get Katie started on this. XD) I regret to inform you all that unless you want a doodle of some 3D geometric shapes, or nuclear explosions I can't help you. That said...

I have been toying with some very basic concepts of cartooning of the Charlie Brown/Sinfest sort (strip comics). In doing so, I am thinking about putting up 'shorts' based on some of the madness of Katie and I's daily lives or events. 3-4 panels, black and white, nothing fancy. Everything from Ike 'butt-surfing' to crazy people at conventions. I like the name "Mortal Realm" as the title too.

I wish I could take credit for this idea, but truth be told there are other webcomics that do the same to help the gaps be less gap like. Like many artists, I am my own worst critic and still don't feel confident posting anything. I have plenty of good ideas though, so we'll see how it manifests... if at all. I don't mean to tease you, but I wanted to throw that out there.

Again, we are sorry for the all the delays and neglect.

Asta la pasta.
